To Fete Richard Sautters Sunday on Golden Date

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sautter, 608 Fifth St, will be guests of honor at a reception and open house at the Calvary United Brethren Chruch from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Children of the couple will be hosts and invite friends and relatives to call.

Mrs. Sautter was the former Elsie Godfrey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin A. Godfrey and was born at Lowell Valley, near Ashley, where she was reared. Mr. Sautter was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sautter and was born and grew up in Artas, South Dakota.

The Linton EUB Chruch was the scene of their wedding, Oct. 24, 1914. The Rev. William Rutchat, now of Lodi, California, officiated. They resided in Linton until 1949 when they moved to Bismarck.

They went to Portland Oregon in 1953, but returned to Bismarck in 1958.

Mr. Sautter was a produce dealer at Linton and presently operates an apartment house at 608 Fifth St. Both are members of the Calvary Church and are interested in the Bismarck-Mandan Handicapped Association.

Children of the couple are Mrs. J. (Luella) Tuttle, Jamestown; Ronald Sautter, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Orin (Loretta) Markert, Garrison; Neil Sautter, Linton; Mrs. Eileen VanderVorst, Britton, South Dakota and Harry Sautter, Pierre, South Dakota.
